Scientific name: Alocasia nebula
Family: Araceae
Common Name(s): Alocasia Silver Nebula
This species belongs to the group of Alocasias known as Jewel Alocasias. This pretty jewel in particular hails from the rainforests of Sarawak. With silverfish grey leaves and dark venations, it’s a spectacular piece of living art. However, as a houseplant, this species is one of the hardest to care for. This species occasionally sheds some or even all of its leaves when going into dormancy. This could look worrying, but its completely normal.
