Alocasia x Amazonica “Bambino”
RM20.00
Scientific name: Alocasia x amazonica “Bambino”
Family: Araceae
Common Name(s): Alocasia Bambino; Bambino Arrow;
This species is the dwarf version of Alocasia x amazonica or commonly known as Alocasia “Polly”. The ‘x’ in the botanical name means it is a hybrid. It has cute little arrowhead shaped leaves which are glossy and a deep green in colour with white venations and a deep purple or burgundy underside.
The short stature of this Alocasia makes it a great plant for table tops or used with other plants to create beautiful living bouquets and floral decorations for events. The relatively lower light requirements of this plant also makes it suitable for keeping it indoors.
Soil: Loose, well-draining, porous soil. Soil pH around acidic to neutral.
Water: Water once or twice a week.
Light: Bright indirect sunlight.
Temperature: Between 18°C and 22°C.
Fertilizer: Every month of the growing seasons (summer and spring) and a slow-release fertilizer is enough.
The Alocasia Bambino size is smaller so it can only grow up to maximum of 40cm tall under the right care.
